A new symbol for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was announced by President Russell M. Nelson at the Saturday evening session of the April 2020 general conference.
The new symbol emphasizes the name of the church. The name of the church is within a rectangle which represents a cornerstone. The center of the symbol is the Christus statue. Jesus stands under an arch representing his emergence from the tomb. He is the living Christ. This logo will be used on church materials.
Instead of focusing on the dead Christ with a cross the church if focusing on the living Christ. He lives today!
